Annual Giving

Every year Baltimore Lutheran School receives financial support from alumni, parents, past parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, Board members and friends. For over forty years, Baltimore Lutheran School has embodied excellence in Christian education, due mainly to the generosity of time, talent, and treasure from our extended community.

With tuition covering less than 80% of the actual cost of each student's education, the Annual Fund is the cornerstone of all fundraising by "filling that gap.” It provides the financial resources necessary to sustain an outstanding faculty and curriculum.

Matching Gifts

Your employer may have a matching gift program for contributions to BLS. Matching gifts can double or triple the size of your gift!

Thrivent Financials for Lutherans

Last year, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans provided more than $100 million to help congregations, communities and individuals in need. The Thrivent Choice^SM program offers two ways members can help choose where to direct some of Thrivent Financial's charitable outreach funds. Some members can participate in both, based on eligibility.

Choice Dollars^SM

Eligible members are designated Choice Dollars^SM, based on insurance premiums, contract values and Thrivent Financial volunteer leadership. Choice Dollars^SM can be directed to Lutheran organizations you prefer nationwide, including your local Lutheran congregation. If you are eligible to direct Choice Dollars^SM, you will receive a letter in the mail at the point you become eligible. Voting Events

All members 16 and older can vote during specific Voting Events to help determine where Thrivent Financial distributes $1 million among Lutheran and non-Lutheran charitable organizations.
